At Plakentia Veterinary Clinic, a routine cardiology check-up includes clinical exam, triplex exam, ECG and arterial pressure reading. The exam lasts for about 30-45 minutes, depending on the type of diagnostic check-up.
A decision is then reached on a short- or long-term treatment approach. A detailed report with the findings of the cardiology check-up and everything discussed on the day of the exam is sent a few days later, along with a selection of ultrasound images. If the referring veterinarian or the owner wish so, they can have online access to all the ultrasound images (cine-loop technology).
The option of intensive 24-hour treatment is available for emergency or severe heart conditions that require hospitalization.
