Rania Farmaki is a graduate and PhD holder of the AUTH School of Veterinary Medicine. She started specializing in animal dermatology in 2002, when she commenced her doctoral thesis on atopic dermatitis in dogs. She then went on to participate in a dermatology specialist course at the European College of Veterinary Dermatology from 2005-2008. After passing the relevant exams, she received the Diplomate of ECVD in veterinary dermatology for all types of animals in 2011. Since April 2012, she has been working at the Companion Animal Clinic of the AUTH as a scientific associate.
She is the head of the Dermatology Department and handles all dermatology cases, while she is also in charge of the clinical, undergraduate and postgraduate training of the School's students on Dermatology. She has participated in national and international seminars as an attendee, an invited speaker or a member of the scientific committee. She is a founding member and a BoD member of the Hellenic Society of Veterinary Dermatology (HSVD). She is also a member of the European Society of Veterinary Dermatology (ESVD) and the European College of Veterinary Dermatology (ECVD).
